This 5 minute video turned my life around, it is a Ted Talk from 2012 by Ric Elias.
He sat in the plane that made a crash-landing on the Hudson River in 2009 and delivers a short but strong speech about how this fact changed his life.
His testimony, changed mine… my heart stopped when he said “I no longer try to be right, I choose to be happy…”
Until that moment, I was one of those people (and truth be said, I sometimes still am) who could go endless into a discussion until I got the upper hand.
I was 100% sure to hold the truth, and I am also sure I missed many happy moments in life because of it.
He takes 3 lessons out of the experience:
– It all changes in an instant
– I collect bad wines (I not longer pospone anything)
– I no longer try to be right, I choose to be happy
That he no longer collects good wines because at the first occasion he has he shares them, makes it only more personal for me 😋
